Barry County Conservation Agent Travis McLain will be available to tag and register bobcats at the Missouri Department of Conservation Forestry Office in Cassville from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 7. The forestry office is located on Highway 248 just inside the Cassville city limits.
The main furbearer hunting and trapping season concluded on Jan. 31. All bobcats taken during the season must be submitted to an agent prior to Feb. 15 for tagging and/or registration.
Those who cannot get their bobcats tagged on Feb. 7 need to make arrangements with McLain or another conservation agent to get their bobcats tagged prior to Feb. 15.
It is the hunter's or trapper's responsibility to ensure that all bobcats that they harvest are tagged prior to the Feb. 15 deadline. Bobcats must be tagged prior to selling, transferring, tanning or mounting.
