A Barry County man has been arrested for robbery in connection with a hold up at the First Community Bank in Neosho last Friday.
David James Owenby, 28, of Cassville, has been charged with second degree bank robbery. He also faces a felony possession of a controlled substance charge out of Barry County.
According to a Neosho Police Department report, Owenby allegedly entered the bank at approximately 12:45 p.m. on Jan. 30 and showed the teller a note that demanded money. No weapon was used in the robbery, and no one was hurt.
Owenby was arrested at a Joplin bus station just a few hours after the robbery. He is currently being held in the Newton County Jail on a $25,000 bond.
Owenby was arraigned in Newton County Associate Circuit Court on Monday and pleaded not guilty.
