Earl "Junior" McCracken, 81, of Monett, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2009.
He was born Feb. 5, 1927, in butterfield, the son of Earl and Marie Prewitt McCracken. He was a mechanic and retired from Jumping-Jacks Shoes in Monett. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church in Monett.
He married Mary Royer on Aug. 14, 1948, in Berryville, Ark., and she survives
Additional survivors include: two daughters, Karen Corn, of Wheaton, and Donna Marbut, of Monett; one brother, Paul McCracken, of Pierce City; two sisters, Betty Doss, of Pierce City, and Mary Hemphill, of Springfield; five grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Freewill Baptist Church in Monett with Rev. Ken Dodson and Rev. Mark Hall officiating. burial was at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Butterfield, under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
