2008 Barry County Fair and rodeo

PRCA rodeo draws crowd to event center Democrat Photo A Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) rodeo was held at Gizmo's Event Center in Wheaton in conjunction with the 2009 Barry County Fair on June 25 and 26. The rodeo event featured performances by Dale "Gizmo" McCracken and eight-time world champion bullrider Donnie Gay. Doug Mathis, 2005 PRCA Announcer of the Year, served as announcer for the local event. In the photo above, Miss Rodeo of the Mid-South escorts the Flag of the United States of America around the event center arena prior to the start of the rodeo.
