Chamber banquet is this Saturday

The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce will host its annual banquet on Saturday, Jan. 17. Kent Rader, a nationally recognized speaker and author, will speak at the event, which begins at 6:30 p.m. in the Cassville High School commons area.

Rader is a motivational speaker, author and comedian who has a reputation for making his audiences laugh. He is known as the "World's Cleanest Comedian and Speaker."

The Richmond, Mo., native has authored numerous articles for educational and healthcare magazines about using laughter to reduce stress. He is also the author of the book, "Let It Go, Just Let It Go."

Rader performs family-friendly stand-up comedy routines at clubs from New York to Seattle. In 2007, Rader won the Branson Comedy Festival. He also can be heard on Sirius Satellite Radio and NPR's Talk of the Nation.

In addition to dinner and a speaker, those in attendance will have the opportunity to win one of many beautiful table decorations that are donated by area businesses.

Community service and lifetime achievement awards will also be presented to recipients by outgoing chamber president Susie Jacobs.

Tickets for the banquet are $20 per person and can be purchased in advance at tthe chamber office or at the door.
