The Richmond, Mo., native has authored numerous articles for educational and healthcare magazines about using laughter to reduce stress. He is also the author of the book, "Let It Go, Just Let It Go."

Rader performs family-friendly stand-up comedy routines at clubs from New York to Seattle. In 2007, Rader won the Branson Comedy Festival. He also has been heard on Sirius Satellite Radio and NPR's Talk of the Nation.

"We have a great speaker, and this event promises to be fun and exciting," said Amy White, executive director of the chamber.

In addition to dinner and a speaker, those in attendance will have the opportunity to win one of many beautiful table decorations that are donated by area businesses.

New directors will be introduced at the dinner and retiring board members will be recognized. New members of the board include: Chip Kammerlohr, Blake Whitley, Stacy Runnels and Jan Massey. Outgoing board members are: Susie Jacobs, David Payne, Angela Seymour and David Waugh.

New chamber president Richard Asbill will also offer his vision for the chamber as the volunteer-driven organization enters 2009.
