Maxine Fancher, 77, of Carr Lane, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23, 2008, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.
She was born Sept. 14, 1931, in Berryville, Ark., the daughter of Shird and Ella Mae (Rose) Bilyeu. On Sept. 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Richard Grady "Dick" Fancher, who preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jerry Fancher; grandson, Toby Fancher; five brothers, Purd, Carl, Everett, George and Bill Bilyeu; and a sister, Goldie Martin.
Survivors include: a son, Jimmy L. Fancher, of Carr Lane; one brother, Arlis Bilyeu, of Reeds Spring; one sister, Dottie Pecena, of Marshall; and one grandson.
She received her education at Blue Eye, graduating from Blue Eye High School in 1950. She had worked at Ocoma and for eight years worked at Tyson's in Berryville, Ark. She was a member of Lohmer Full Gospel Church in Shell Knob.
Funeral services were held Tuesday in Lohmer Full Gospel Church, Shell Knob, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Brother David Donaldson conducted the services. Burial was at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery, Berryville, Ark.
