Marjorie Jane Barnhart left this Earth to attend the 2,008th birthday party of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Marjorie took this short journey on December 25th after a brief stopover at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. Marjorie had been planning for this trip most of her 95 years here on Earth.

It was over 75 years ago that Marjorie asked Jesus if she could come and stay with Him when she was finished working for Him. Along with her lifelong helper, Ms. Virginia Boucher, they taught Bible studies to thousands of local school children. Together, the Ladies founded the Mountain Bible Church in the rural area formerly known as Mountain, Mo.

Marjorie's sister Dorothy, and brother Max were waiting for her when she arrived. Her other brother and sister, Don Barnhart and Lenore Osborn of Iola, Kansas, miss her deeply.

Because of Marjorie's love for children, the Mountain Bible Church is dedicating a new nursery in her honor.

Contributions in lieu of flowers would be appropriate.

A celebration of her journey was at the church on Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 10 a.m. Burial was at Iola Township Cemetery in Iola, Kansas.
