The Seligman Greater Area Chamber of Commerce and the Norman Bryant Foundation hosted a Christmas party on Dec. 12.
"The event was a great success," said Cleta Stanley, Seligman Chamber of Commerce secretary.
Around 450 people attended the event, which included a visit by Santa. All of the children and several adults received Christmas gifts.
Seligman Chamber of Commerce President David Van Petty started the evening with a prayer and welcome address.
"David said that the chamber hopes to work with Bryant again next year," said Stanley. "It takes a lot of work to put something like this together, but it is sure worth it to bring this many people together."
Members of the Norman Bryant Foundation performed a skit about the birth of Jesus and the reason for the Christmas season. Attendees sang holiday songs, including "Frosty the Snowman." Some children from the audience had the opportunity to dance with Frosty the Snowman.
"This was a free event for the community," said Stanley. "It is just one of four Christmas parties that the foundation will host in different areas."
