He was a retired truck driver. He also retired from the National Guard after serving 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monett.
Additional survivors include: his mother, Faye Higgs, of Monett; two sons, Mike Stockton, of Springdale, Ark., and ronnie Stockton and his wife, Paula, of Cassville; one sister, Evelyn Schad and her husband, Lawrence, of Monett; one sister-in-law, Jan Stockton, of Cassville; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, one brother, Don Stockton, two sons, Mark and Matt Stockton and one grandchild.
Funeral services were held Tuesday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home with Rev. Russ Neill officiating. Burial was at Sparks Cemetery near Butterfield.
Arrangements were under the care of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett.
