The Purdy R-II School Board set season pass prices for district sporting events and activities at its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 20.
Student passes, which cost $25, will cover admission to all school activities except fundraisers. Adult passes can be purchased for $45 each, and family passes, which are for immediate family members only, cost $65.
The district will also offer Golden Eagle Senior Citizens passes for adults who are 62 or older.
The board members also heard reports on the media center and the district's food service department.
Dianna Laswell, school librarian, stated that parent participation in the AmeriCorps Reading Family Nights has doubled. She also shared information on the 317 new titles that have been added to the media center collection this year.
Shirley Burdette's report indicated that the district has served nearly 5,000 breakfasts and over 23,000 lunches this year. Burdette expressed appreciation for the new cafeteria tables that the school recently purchased for the cafeteria.
In other business, the Purdy R-II School Board:
* Accepted the resignation of Sue Henderson, middle school special education aide.
* Approved a $8,000 stipend for Ashley Finley, A+ coordinator.
* Approved the annual assurance and certification statements that acknowledge that the district will comply with the Individuals with Disabilities Act (IDEA).
* Heard administrative reports by Bob Vice, high school principal, Janet Boys, middle school principal, Jeff Swadley, elementary school principal, and Superintendent Jerry Lingo.
