WILLIAM L. EAST

William L. East 55, of Excelsior Springs, passed away Sunday, Nov. 16, 2008, in the Excelsior Springs Medical Center. He was born Sept. 25, 1953, in Neosho, the son of the late Joseph William East and the late Mildred Marie Jones East.

He worked as a forklift driver.

Survivors include: his wife, Shirley (Sanders) East, of Excelsior Springs; one son, William Joseph East, Jr., Plattsburg; one daughter, Tracy Jane Cruz, of Sugar Creek; one brother, Raymond Lee East, of Grandview; four sisters, Mary Jo Weston, Alice Dean Hilton, Sheila Marie Brown and Sylvia Beilsmith; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Joseph, and one sister, Roxanne.

Services were held Thursday at Wheaton Funeral Home. Interment followed at Macedonia Cemetery, Stella.
