"When people come in the door, they will be surprised by how the store looks and what we have to offer," said Rick Neill, who owns the business with his wife, Gayla. "We offer quality furniture at low prices and the same great service that we have provided to Cassville customers for 25 years."
Prior to opening Neill's Home Store, Rick served Cassville customers at a local store for over 20 years. About five years ago, Rick and Gayla decided to open their own furniture store on Highway 39 in Shell Knob.
"We had always wanted to have our own store," said Rick. "It was something we had wanted for years, and we finally decided it was the right time to do it."
This year, when the store space that previously housed Craig's Home Center became available, Rick and Gayla took the opportunity to serve Cassville customers from the downtown location. Both of the business's stores offer a full line of home furnishing merchandise, including appliances, televisions and Sealy mattresses.
The new 7,000-square-foot Cassville location has been remodeled from floor to ceiling to offer customers an enjoyable shopping experience.
The furniture store's showroom features furniture for the living room, bedroom and dining room. Customers will also find a variety of accessories, including artwork, mirrors, lamps and area rugs.
"We also offer special ordering, and our customers may visit our website at neillshomestore.com to view an extensive selection of merchandise available at our stores," said Rick.
Rick and Gayla are joined at both the Shell Knob and Cassville locations by Dusty Gauss, Kenny Branham, Donna Dilbeck, Josh Gauss, Derek Neill and Dusti Sue Neill.
Barry County shoppers are encouraged to stop by one of the Neill's Home Store locations to view the merchandise and meet the sales staff. The Cassville location is open from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday. The Shell Knob store is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
"Gayla and I are really enjoying seeing so many of our friends who have been loyal customers over the years," said Rick. "It is nice to be back."
