The Wheaton City Council heard a presentation by Dennis Siders and Kristina Hartley, of Midwest Assistance Program, at its regularly scheduled meeting on Oct. 7.
Midwest Assistance Program provides services to assist communities through infrastructure improvement projects and other issues. Services available include: income surveys; financing development; technical, managerial and financial assistance; board training; and asset-management training.
In other business, the Wheaton City Council:
* Heard that the Wheaton Street Machines plan to pour new concrete in the area where the organization hosts its burnouts.
* Directed City Clerk Marianne Witt to contact David Cole, city attorney, regarding an ordinance for water customers who live outside the city limits.
* Voted to purchase a fax module for the copier machine that is located at City Hall.
