Child killed in crash on Highway F
A 2-year-old Eagle Rock boy was killed in a one-vehicle crash on Highway F four miles east of Roaring River on Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 1996 Plymouth van, driven by Matthew Chapman, 33, of Eagle Rock, ran off the roadway and struck a rock embankment.
Matthew Chapman's passenger, Cyrus Chapman, was pronounced dead at the scene by Barry County Coroner Skip White. The body was taken to White Funeral Home in Cassville.
Matthew Chapman and another passenger, Abby Chapman, 4, of Eagle Rock, were seriously injured in the crash. They were airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.
The crash occurred at 11:10 p.m.

* On Friday, two Oklahoma residents sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 112 three miles south of Cassville. The crash occurred when a 2002 Chevrolet Monte Carlo, driven by David Hendrick, 35, of Broken Arrow, Okla., lost control on a curve, travelled off the right side of the roadway, struck a fence and overturned. Hendrick and a passenger, Brooke Peevyhouse, 28, of Broken Arrow, Okla., were transported to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. The crash occurred at 9:10 p.m.
