She was born Nov.16, 1921, in Guymon, Okla., the daughter of Clarence Hugh and Nellie May Medley Rawlings. She was a homemaker.
She married Johnnie Bertrand Coatney on Aug. 5, 1919, in Cassville, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Carolyn Ethridge, of McDowell; three sons, James Coatney, of Monett, Johnnie Coatney, of Aurora, and Kenneth Coatney, of Pierce City; two brothers, Clarence Rawlings and Robert Rawlings; four sisters, Frances Smith, Violet Bastura, Betty Wendler and Catheron Fowler; 20 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren and great- great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, tom and Gene Rawlings.
Funeral services were held today (Wednesday) at Bennett-Wormington chapel in Monett. Burial was at the Monett IOOF Cemetery under the direction of Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home of Monett.
