Bank joins fundraising campaign

Thursday, November 13, 2008

Security Bank is joining the effort to raise funds for the Cassville Comm-unity Foundation through the Harry Cooper Challenge program.

The local bank will match employee donations to the Foundation dollar for dollar, according to Gary Fields, Security Bank chief executive officer. In turn, those donations will be matched dollar for dollar by Harry Cooper Supply.

"So in effect, for any amount an employee contributes to this investment in our community, it is multiplied four times," said Fields. "What a way to donate back to the community that has provided us with a great place to live and has provided us with employment."

The Cassville Comm-unity Foundation is working to raise $25,000 for its local grant-making endowment fund by Dec. 31. The income from the fund will be used to support local programs through grants.
