Local men injured in crash on Highway 37
An Exeter man was moderately injured and a Cassville man sustained minor injuries in the two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 37 and W in Butterfield on Monday.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 1991 Chevrolet S-10 pickup, driven by Duwayne White, 20, of Exeter, failed to yield to a 1998 Ford Ranger, driven by Ernest Irving, 67, of Cassville. Irving's vehicle struck White's vehicle in the side and both vehicles left the roadway.
Irving and White were transported by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville.
The crash occurred at 8 p.m.
Other traffic crashes
* A Purdy man was moderately injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of County Roads 1090 and 2030 two miles south of Monett last Tuesday. The crash occurred when a 1991 Ford pickup, driven by Richard Jagears, 55, of Monett, pulled into the path of a 2003 Indian motorcycle, driven by Terry Jackson, 46. Jackson was transported by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital. Jagears was not injured in the crash, which occurred at 5:03 p.m.
* Last Thursday, a Cassville woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 76 seven miles east of Cassville. The crash occurred when a 1998 Pontiac Grand Prix, driven by Julie Underwood, 22, attempted to round a curve, slid on debris in the roadway, ran off the left side of the road and hit a fence. Underwood was transported by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. The crash occurred at 1:35 p.m.
*A Seligman woman sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Highway 37 two miles south of Washburn on Friday. The crash occurred when a 2002 Mazda MPV van, driven by Lisa Main, 35, met a 2003 Dodge SSE, driven by Ashley Moore, 19, of Cass-ville, on the centerline and the vehicles struck each other. Main was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville.
