Justin Brands' Cassville plant held its first health fair for employees on Tuesday, Oct. 7. Employees received various screenings and flu shots as well as health and wellness information.

"We wanted to create an atmosphere that was comfortable for the employees to learn and ask questions about personal health and wellness," said Donna Lasater, personnel director for Justin Brands, Inc. "We believe it is very important as a responsible corporate steward to make these services available and to motivate our employees to be proactive in healthy living."

Participants included BlueCross BlueShield of Texas, Guardian, Missouri Department of Social Services, GEICO, Weight Watchers, Cassville YMCA, Cassville Medical, Healing Touch Massage Therapy Clinic and Runnels Chiropractor.

"With more than 50 percent of our employees taking advantage of the health fair, we believe it was a great success and hope to bring more vendors and services to our employees next year," Lasater said.

Anyone interested in participating in the event as a vendor next year, send an e-mail to Lasater at Reader_2006@mail.com.
