The City of Cassville has scheduled its annual fall curbside clean-up for the week of Nov. 10.
From Nov. 10 through Nov. 14, Allied Waste will be picking up discarded items and extra bags of trash on residents' regularly scheduled trash day.
The city has released a list of items that will not be accepted during the curbside clean-up. These include: televisions; yard waste; radioactive materials; highly flammable substances; hazardous materials/waste; pesticides; lead/acid batteries; infectious materials; sludge; semi-solids; dead animals; medical waste; bulk liquids; explosives; raw sewage; waste oil; ashes; paint and varnish; and tires.
Allied will be accepting appliances at a fee of $14 per item. Stoves, washers and dryers, freezers, refrigerators, hot water heaters and dishwashers will be accpeted as long as they have a sticker attached showing that CFCs have been removed by a licensed technician.

The city sponsors clean-ups in the fall and the spring. During these efforts, city officials encouraged local residents to spend some time cleaning up their homes and yards, which can benefit the entire neighborhood and improve the appearance of the city.
