RONNIE LUNEY

Ronald E. Luney, 62, of Springdale, Ark., passed away, Friday, Oct. 31, 2008, in Springdale, Ark. He was born Nov. 25, 1945, in Cassville, the son of Amos and Margaret Osburn Luney. He was a Viet-nam veteran of the United States Army, a truck driver for Tyson's, a 32nd degree Masion of the Scottish Rite Of Freemasonry, American Legion Post 139 of Springdale, Ark., Masonic Lodge #316 of Springdale, Ark., and of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father and a stepdaughter, Tonya Sharp.

Survivors include: his wife, Mary Luney, of the home; his mother, Margaret Luney, of Cassville; two brothers, Robert Luney, of Iowa Park, Texas, and Joe Luney, of Cassville; and two sisters, Nancy May, of Exeter, and Alice McNabb, of Exeter.

Funeral services were held Tuesday in the Chapel of Nelson-Berna Funeral Home, Fayetteville, Ark., with Rev. Milford Baker and Mr. Charlie Foster officiating. Burial followed at the Old Alabam Cemetery near Huntsville, Ark. Pallbearers were Jim Gabel, Rodney Springston, David Bass, Jim O'Neill, Gene Kincy and Richard Reese.
