Otto John Fessman, 71, of Shell Knob, passed away on Sunday, Oct. 26, 2008, at Table Rock Lake.
He was born on Aug. 22, 1937, in Kansas City, son of Otto and Mary (Franke) Fessman. He was a graduate of Finnelly College of Engineering in Kansas City, and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He was employed as an engineer for Sprint in Kansas City and retired in 1999 after 39 years of service. He moved to the Shell Knob area to make his home.
Survivors include: one son, Kevin Fessman, of Derby, Kan.; one daughter, Cindy Fessman, of Shell Knob; their mother, Janice (Darlene) Robertson, of Junction City, Kan.; two brothers, Robert Fessman, of Raymore, and Thomas Fessman, of Raytown; one grandson; two granddaughters; two great-grandsons; and one great-granddaughter. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Richard Fessman.
Memorial services were held on today (Wednesday) at the Unity Christian Church in Shell Knob, with Pastor, Louie Celaya officiating. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. at the McGilley & Frye Funeral Home in Olathe, Kan., with burial to follow at Floral Hills Cemetery in Raytown.
Memorials may be made to Children's Miracle Network and may be entrusted to the White Funeral Home in Cassville.
