Larry Dale "Bull Dogger" Brown, 65, of Exeter, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2008, in Altamonte Springs, Fla.

He was born Feb. 12, 1943, in Barry County, the son of Odean (Charles) and Maloy Brown.

He received his education in Wheaton where he graduated from high school. He married Sue Woods and had two children, Randy and Regina. He served his country in the United States Army as chief radio operator with the Mac V Team 45 from 1969 to1970 in Vietnam. He was honored by both the United States with the Bronze Star, and by the South Vietnamese Government with the Certificate of Achievement, the first time ever given to a U.S. soldier in the Pahn Rang Province. He returned to Kansas City and his job at AT&T and after a 30-year career, he retired in 1990.

Survivors include: a son, Randy Brown, of Orlando, Fla.; a daughter, Regina Hill, of St. Louis; his mother, Odean Brown, of Cassville; and a brother, Donnie Brown and his wife, Pauline, of Wheaton.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Graveside services with military honors were held Saturday at Maplewood Cemetery, Exeter, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton.
