Cassville YMCA offers full slate of classes

The Cassville YMCA has a number of classes available this fall through its Arts and Humanities program.

Watercolor classes for participants, ages 13 and older, will be offered on Tuesdays from 10 a.m. to noon. Carol Shipman will serve as instructor.

Rock Star guitar classes, taught by Matt Tripp, will be offered from 4 to 4:45 p.m. on Tuesdays.

Stacy Clarkson will offer ballet classes in Cassville on Thursdays. Classes for 3- to 6-year-olds will be held from 6 to 6:45 p.m. and classes for 7- to 12-year-olds will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.

A cheer class for 5- to 12-year-olds will be offered on Tuesdays from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sam Hollis will serve as the instructor. Hollis will also teach a twirling class for participants age 4 and older on Mondays from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

A hip hop class, taught by Rhonda Rhoads, will be offered on Fridays from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. This class is open to any age 5 through 12.

Classes begin during the week of Oct. 20 and end Dec. 6. Registration is due this Friday, Oct. 17. Classes are $15 for YMCA members and $45 for nonmembers. Financial assistance is available for children who receive free or reduced price lunches at school.
