The Cassville Wildcats junior varsity squad traveled to Seneca on Monday, Oct. 6 to play its eighth game of the season. Unfortunately, the Wildcats were unable to defeat the Indians and Seneca earned a 36-0 win.
The first half of the game saw the Indians gain a 28-0 advantage over the Wildcats as Seneca took advantage of mistakes and turnovers and capitalized on a strong running game to pull away with a dominant lead.
Seneca returned in the second half and immediately put more points on the board in the opening drive of the third quarter to solidify the victory and place the final score at 36-0.
The Wildcats had some success at moving the ball down the field, but they were unable to score against the Indian defense.
Cassville played Carl Junction at home on Oct. 13. They will host Monett on Oct. 20 in the final game of the season.
