The 29th annual Homer Sloan Buddy Bass Tournament, sponsored by the Shell Knob Chamber of Commerce, was held on Oct. 4 with 64 boats entered.
Anglers weighed in over 375 pounds of fish, including eight fish that weighed over four pounds each.
Jeff Chappell, of Exeter, and Tim Davis, of Pierce City, claimed the big stringer and big fish awards. The pair's total catch weighed 23.23 pounds and their biggest fish weighed 5.96 pounds.
Other Big Stringer winners were: Shey Snodgrass, of Monett, and Mike Snodgrass, of Verona, second place, 16.74 pounds; Dean Gautney, of Aurora, and Russell Addison, of Cassville, third place, 16.03 pounds; Gary Atkinson, of Aurora, and Ray Cairus, of Purdy, fourth place, 15.52 pounds; Earl E. Capp, of Mapleton, Kan., and Greg Moore, Jr., of Shell Knob, fifth place, 15.52 pounds; and Bill Beck, of Kimberling City, and Bill Babbler, of Blue Eye, sixth place, 14.46 pounds.
Other Big Fish winners included: Jim Bruffey, of Springfield, and Darin Jones, of Nixa, second place, 5.5 pounds; Dean Gautney and Russell Addison, third place, 4.62 pounds; and Shey Snodgrass and Mike Snodgrass, fourth place, 4.55 pounds.
