Jenkins man hurt in crash on Hwy. 39

Last Tuesday, a Jenkins man was moderately injured in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 39 one mile south of Madry.

The crash occurred as a 1998 Ford Ranger, driven by Wayne Harris, 68, travelled off the right side of the roadway, struck a culvert and a tree and overturned. Harris was airlifted to St. John's Hospital-Springfield. The crash occurred at 4:45 a.m.

A Cassville man sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on a private lot on Highway W one-half mile west of Butterfield.

The crash occurred as a 1997 Chevrolet van, driven by Ricky Meloy, 50, was pulling into the parking lot and struck a pole. Meloy was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. The crash occurred at 1:20 p.m.
