The Purdy Eagles finished the 2008 fall season with an impressive 13-3 record.
The Purdy baseball team played its last game on Monday and lost a tough match up with Forsyth by a score of 5-6.
The Eagles took the earlylead in the first innning when Mason Roller hit his ninth homer of the fall, which brought in two runs. Purdy scored a third run in the second on a Forsyth error.
The two teams continued to battle back and forth with Forsyth taking the lead 5-3 in the sixth. Purdy answered when Kevin Miller's single drove in two runs to tie the game at 5-5. The Eagles gave up a run in the bottom of the seventh and Forsyth won the game.
Roller pitched a complete game and gave up only three earned runs. Trent Goetz was two-for-four on the night.
