Freda Grimes, 74, of Shell Knob, passed away Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, in her home.

She was born Oct. 21, 1933, in Eagle Rock, the daughter of James and Daisy (Burris) Greek. On Dec. 15, 1960, in Miami, Okla., she was united in marriage to Don Grimes, who survives.

Additional survivors include: one brother, Don Greek, of Viola; and three sisters, Louise Hall, of Purdy, Letha Ellis, of Cassville, and Cleva Poe and her husband, Dorris, of Seligman.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Patti Greek and Grace (Greek) McCullough; and four brothers, Everett, Robert, Edward and Cecil Greek.

She received her education in Cassville, where she graduated from high school. She spent her life on the farm and had been employed as a meat trimmer for Tyson Foods.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at Sparks Cemetery, Butterfield, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. Lawrence Shuey will conduct the services.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. today (Wednesday) in Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville.
