Gary Paul Phillips, 68, of Cassville, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 2, 2008, at his home in Cassville.
He was born on Feb. 28, 1940, in Kansas City. He was the son of Edwin and Pauline (Hamilton) Phillips. He was a veteran of the United States Army. After being honorably discharged from active duty, he went to work for Pryor Brass Fence Company in Kansas City. After his employment with Pryor Brass, he became a self-employed fence contractor with various companies including Montgomery Ward.
Survivors include: his companion of 16 years, Molly Phillips, of Cassville; two stepsons, Rick Harnishfeger, and his wife, Brenda, of Butterfield, and Steve Binam, and his wife, Mel, of Jasper; one stepdaughter, Pamela Binam, of Tulsa, Okla.; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son and one daughter.
Military graveside services were held Monday at the Williams Cemetery in Carroll County Ark., located between Carr Lane and Berryville, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of White Funeral Home in Cassville.
