SWACC announces promotion

Thursday, October 2, 2008

The adult education program at the Southwest Area Career Center (SWACC) in Monett announced a new promotion featuring an Apple iPod touch that could be won by someone who enrolls in an on-line course.

In partnership with Education To Go (ed2go), SWACC is able to offer a variety of high quality, affordable on-line courses. Courses offer well-crafted lessons, expert on-line instruction and interaction with both an instructor and fellow students. Students have the flexibility to study at their own pace and can access the classroom 24/7.

New sessions of each course run every month and last for six weeks, with two new lessons released weekly. Courses include lessons, quizzes, assignments, discussion areas and a final exam. Students who successfully complete the program are awarded a certificate of completion.

As part of a fall student campaign, ed2go is awarding three free Apple iPod touch devices for the 100th, 1000th and 10,000th student enrolled during the months of August through November. In addition to the iPod touch give-away, ed2go is also offering participating institutions the opportunity to win scholarship money.
