CHS runners run well at Nixa meet

The Cassville cross country team competed at the Nixa Invitational on Sept. 23.

Senior Tia Baker led the Ladycats, picking up a medal for her 20th place finish. She completed the course in 22:17. Jessica Barrientos finished two places behind Baker, placing 22nd in a time of 22:38.

On the boys side, Jeremy Ashwell was Cassville's top finisher. He placed 58th in a time of 19:35. Gage Holloway was just a step behind, finishing 59th in a time of 19:37.

"This was an improvement for our kids, but we have to keep working hard," said Coach Chris Shore.
