June Spahr, 91, of Berryville, Ark., passed away Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, in Carroll County Nursing and Rehab, Berryville, Ark.
She was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Sedalia, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Menefee) Colvin. On Dec. 25, 1938, in Sedalia, she was united in marriage to Owen C. Spahr, who preceded her in death on Feb. 13, 1982. She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother.
Survivors include: two daughters, Joan Bates and her husband, Tom, of Kevil, Ky., and Sharon Asbury and her husband, Pete, of Shell Knob; one sister, Hazel Brown, of Phoenix, Ariz.; five grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She received her education in Sedalia, where she graduated from high school. She resided in Odessa several years and was employed as a bookkeeper for Guys Potato Chips in Liberty. In 1994, she moved to Shell Knob, remaining there until a year and a half ago when she moved to Berryville.
Funeral services were held Saturday in Fohn Funeral Home, Shell Knob. Pastor Dean Wilson conducted the services. Burial was Monday at Memorial Park Cemetery, Sedalia.
