Violet Ida Ridenour Metcalf Copening, 87, passed away on Christmas Day 2007 in the Heritage Care Center in American Fork, Utah. She was born in Exeter, the daughter of Ed Ridenour and Minnie (Burns) Ridenour.
She is survived by her son Dan Metcalf (Linda) of Cedar Fort, Utah, and by seven grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. She moved to Utah from Tulsa, Oklahoma, in February 2006 and resided in Cedar Fort until June 2007, when her health started failing. She died peacefully on our Savior's birthday, and her misery has ended.
A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4 in the Community Faith Chapel on Hwy. 248 east of Cassville. Music will be provided by Missy Wolf, the Norman Phillips family, Dan Metcalf and by Vern Young of Lamar. Mo. Violet's remains will be marked by a headstone in the Rocky Comfort cemetery.
