Exeter man injured in crash on Highway HH

An Exeter man was moderately injured in a one-vehicle crash on Highway HH five miles southwest of Purdy on Monday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 1997 Cadillac Catera, driven by Hoy Ashley, 33, lost control, traveled off the right side of the roadway and overturned.

Ashley was placed under arrest at the scene for driving while intoxicated and then released for medical treatment. He was transported to Cox Monett Hospital.

The Patrol report indicated that Ashley was not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred at 7:50 p.m.

Other traffic crashes

* On Saturday, an Eagle Rock woman sustained minor injuries in a three-vehicle crash on Highway J in Golden. The crash occurred as a 2001 Ford Explorer, driven by Beverly Philpott, 45, traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck two parked vehicles, a 1950 Chevrolet pickup and a 2001 Chrysler. Philpott was taken to St. John's Hospital in Berryville, Ark. The crash occurred at 4:30 a.m.
