GED classes are now beginning

Crowder College is now offering adult education and literacy courses in Cassville, Seligman, Shell Knob and Monett. All classes are offered at no charge.

Adult education and literacy courses provide general education diploma (GED) and English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.

Students can also choose to participate in the GED Fast Track option, which is designed for individuals who are ready to take the GED test. The Fast Track option is also for students who have received a GED and plan to attend college.

Day and night classes will be offered at the Crowder College Watley Center in Cassville, Kornerstone in Shell Knob and in Monett. Night classes will be offered at the Seligman Library.

GED classes will be offered from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Thursday and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday in Cassville. Literacy classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday in Cassville.

GED classes will also be offered from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday in Shell Knob, and from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday in Seligman.

The GED Fast Track program will be offered from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday at 303 Cleveland St. in Monett.

The Monett facility will also host GED classes from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday and Wednesday. Literacy classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Monday and from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Thursday.

Crowder College also offers adult education classes in Neosho, Anderson, Granby, Noel, Jane, Mt. Vernon and Sheldon.
