Washburn man injured in crash

A Washburn man was seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash on Farm Road 1050 two miles south of Washburn last Tuesday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2004 Ford Ranger pickup, driven by Nicholas Miller, 30, ran off the left side of the roadway and overturned.

Miller, who was ejected from the vehicle, was taken to Cox South Hospital in Springfield.

The Patrol report indicated that Miller was not wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred at 9:10 p.m.

Other traffic crashes

* On Friday, a Rockaway Beach man sustained serious injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 97 two miles north of Pulaskifield. The crash occurred as David Dodson, 49, who was driving a 2004 GMC pickup, lost control on a curve, ran off the right side of the road and struck an embankment. Dodson was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to St. John's Hospital in Joplin. The crash occurred at 6:05 p.m.
