Exeter and Lebanon residents seriously injured in crash

An Exeter man and a Lebanon woman were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at the intersection of Highways 112 and 76 south of Cassville on Saturday.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the crash occurred when a 2005 Ford, driven by Mitchell Davidson, 23, pulled into the path of a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche, driven by Kahla Myers, 25.

Davidson was airlifted to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. Myers was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital in Springfield.

Davidson's passenger, Angela Smith, 20, of Cassville, was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. Another passenger, Travis Torres, 25, of Cassville, was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville by private vehicle. Both Smith and Torres sustained moderate injuries in the crash.

Myers' passenger, Pamela Laney, 38, of Purdy, was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. Laney sustained minor injuries in the crash, which occurred at 6 p.m.

Other traffic crashes

* Last Wednesday, an Exeter teen sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 76 one mile south of Wheaton. The crash occurred as a 1997 Jeep Wrangler, driven by Dustin Etzler, 17, traveled off the right side of the road and struck a driveway and a fence. Etzler was taken to St. John's Hospital-Cassville by private vehicle. The crash occurred at 1:08 p.m.

* An Exeter woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 248 eight miles east of Cassville on Saturday. The crash occurred as a 1995 Isuzu Rodeo, driven by Meagan Sane, 23, ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected, turned onto its side, ran off the right side of the roadway and struck an embankment. Sane was taken by ambulance to St. John's Hospital-Cassville. The crash occurred at 6 p.m.

* On Friday, a Hindsville, Ark., woman sustained minor injuries in a one-vehicle crash on Highway 37 one and a half miles south of Washburn. The crash occurred as a 2006 Toyota Camry, driven by Fred Sutton, 43, of Hindsville, Ark., skidded off the left side of the roadway into several small trees to avoid an oncoming vehicle. Sutton's passenger, Katie Templin, 23, was taken to Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark. The crash occurred at 3:50 p.m.

* A Monett teen sustained minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Farm Road 1070 two miles south of Monett last Wednesday. The crash occurred as a 1991 Honda Accord, driven by Jessica Gilmartin, 29, of Monett, failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a 1992 Dodge Dakota, driven by Scott Ramaeker, 30, of Purdy, and overturned. Gilmartin's passenger, Tausha Gilmartin, 18, was taken to St. John's Hospital in Springfield. The crash occurred at 6:38 p.m.
