More scholarship honors

Thursday, August 21, 2008

A pair of 2008 Cassville High School graduates were recently informed that they were both recipients of the prestigious Gift of Hope: 21st Century Scholarship offered through the United Methodist Scholarship program. Clint Reed and Kyle Mills, pictured above from left, were chosen for the $1,000 scholarship awards from a national application pool and it is impressive that two candidates from the same school and church were chosen. Both Reed and Mills attend Cassville United Methodist Church where they are active members. Scholarship awards are based on church involvement, grade point average, extracurricular activities and community service. The photograph of the two recent graduates was taken during a benefit concert their band, Lost in Honesty, performed at last Friday night in Cassville.
