Lyndell Lee "Lindy" Davidson, 80, of Strafford, passed away Friday, Aug. 15, 2008, in St. John's Regional Health Center, Springfield.

He was born July 9, 1928, in Wheaton. On June 25, 1954, he was united in marriage to Wanda Lee Moore, who survives.

Additional survivors include: two sons, Wes Davidson and his wife, Carla, of Seymour, and Lance Davidson and his wife, Kathy, of Strafford; one brother, Bob Davidson and his wife, Lucille, of Joplin; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Vernon Davidson; his mother, Ruby (Higgs) Davidson McGaugh and his stepfather, Lynn "Pappy" McGaugh.

He received his education at Wheaton, where he graduated with the class of 1946. During the Korean War he served in the United States Navy. For several years he resided in Kansas City, and worked in various cities as a draftsman. He moved to Strafford around 40 years ago and was employed for Acme Structural in Springfield over 20 years.

Graveside services were held Monday in Muncie Chapel Cemetery, Wheaton, under direction of McQueen Funeral Home, Wheaton. Brother Steve Higgs conducted the services.
