Hillbilly Golf Tournament draws a large crowd
The Cassville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its annual Hillbilly Golf Tournament at the Cassville Golf Course on Aug. 7 and 8. Representatives from 19 businesses, organizations and industries participated in this year's event, including: Justin Brands; Hydro Aluminum; Thorco Industries; George's, Inc.; Arning Industries, Inc.; the Cassville R-IV School District; the Cassville Democrat; Les Jacobs Ford-Mercury; Missouri Gas and Energy; CenturyTel; Barry Electric Cooperative; the City of Cassville; First State Bank; Freedom Bank; House Handle; Luck-E-Strike; St. John's Hospital; Hutchens Construction; and Security Bank. The event was also supported by The Rib, which provided catering services, and Accents-N-Tents, which provided a tent for the event. This year's Hillbilly Golf Tournament Committee members were: Randy Stockton, Bob Allen, Stan Kelley, Mark Smith, Gary Whyte, Annette Henderson, Tracy Holle, Susie Jacobs, Valarie Hutchens and Cassville Chamber Executive Director Amy White. Parker Stumpff, Mathew Angel, Justin Mills and Evan White also helped with the event by serving as bag boys. All Hillbilly Golf Tournament participants are pictured above.
