FERN TERRY

Noveta Fern Terry, 89, of Pierce City, formerly of Purdy, passed away Thursday, Aug. 7, 2008, at Cox Monett Hospital. She was born Sept. 18, 1918, in Monett, the daughter of the late Sanford and Alma (Lee) Davis. She was united in marriage to Famous B. Terry on Nov. 3, 1935, in Purdy. He preceded her in death on Nov. 8, 1993.

The couple operated a dairy farm in Purdy until 1980. She was a member of the Macedonia Freewill Baptist Church, Purdy.

Survivors include: two daughters, Sue andrews, of Cleveland, Ohio, and Gail Garrett, of Rogersville; one son, Keith Terry, of Pierce City; one brother, Jerry Davis, of Monett; five grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; and four stepgrand-children.

Funeral services were held Saturday at Bennett-Wormington Funeral Home, Monett, with Rev. Lee Neill officiating. Burial was at the Arnhart Cemetery, Purdy.
