Zelda Garrett Relethford, 92, of Seligman, passed away Thursday, July 31, 2008, at her home.

She was born March 30, 1916, in Garfield, Ark., the daughter of John and Alpha (Taylor) Ernst. On June 23, 1934, she was united in marriage to Raymond Relethford. He preceded her in death in 1983. The couple farmed for 49 years. She also worked as head cook for the Southwest R-V School District for 20 years, worked at the Seligman Farmers Exchange and was Seligman city clerk. She helped start the Seligman Senior Citizens Club and was a member of the Seligman Lions Club and the Corinth Church of Christ.

Survivors include: two daughters, Phyllis Juel, of Monett, and Rhonda Baxley, of Seligman; one brother, Jim Garrett, of Azalea, Ore.; two sisters, Marie Kenlye, of Wichita, Kan., and Virginia Roller, of Seligman; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and five great- great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene Wies and Carolyn Drake.

Funeral services were held Aug. 4 at Sisco Funeral Home Chapel, Pea Ridge, Ark. Burial was at Bayless Cemetery, Pea Ridge.
