A fallen biker
Motorcyclists from across the region visited Cassville to attend funeral services for Shell Knob resident Curtis Ayers, who was a charter member of the 7 Valleys Bikers Against Child Abuse (BACA) chapter. Ayers died in a motorcycle crash that occurred southwest of Shell Knob on July 26. BACA members said that several hundred motorcyclists attended the funeral service, which was held at White Funeral Home in Cassville on July 31. In honor of Ayers' life, a customized hearse pulled by a Harley Davidson motorcycle was used to transport the casket to Guerney Cemetery in Shell Knob. Nearly 100 motorcyclists joined the funeral procession to pay tribute to Ayers, who was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles in Shell Knob and Aurora and a member of the Independents 4 the Needy.
