Exeter prepares for new school year

The Exeter R-VI School District has scheduled two enrollment events and other back-to-school activities for the district's 2008-09 school year, which will begin on Aug. 20.

Kindergarten enrollment will be held in the elementary from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Aug. 11 and 12. Open enrollment for other students will be held at the school from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Aug. 11 through Aug. 15.

Middle school and high school students who enrolled for classes last spring will be able to pick up their class schedules during the district's Back-to-School Night, which will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 18.
