Students who attend the Cassville R-IV School District will be able to pick up their class schedules and locker assignments next week. Orientation events will also be held for sixth grade and freshmen students.

Seniors will be able to pick up schedules from 9 to 11:30 a.m. and juniors can pick up schedules from 1 to 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 12. Sophomores will be able to pick up schedules from 9 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13.

Freshmen and new student orientation is scheduled to be held in the high school at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 14. The evening session is designed to help students and their parents understand what to expect during the first year of high school. Students who pre-registered may pick up schedules at the orientation session.

Freshmen orientation day camps have been scheduled to be held from 12:30 to 3 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 13 and Thursday, Aug. 14. Day camp attendance is voluntary, but incoming freshmen are strongly encouraged to participate.

Parents and students can call the high school counselor's offices to register for either day camp. The registration deadline is Friday, Aug. 8.

Cassville Middle School students who are in seventh or eighth grade will be able to pick up schedules and locker assignments in the middle school cafeteria from 9 a.m. to noon or 1 to 3 p.m. on Aug. 13 and 14.

An orientation session for sixth grade students, who will be entering middle school this year, will be held in the middle school cafeteria at 6 p.m. on Aug. 12.

Students will not be allowed to pick up schedules for other students without written permission. Locker assignments will only be given to the assigned student, their parent or their guardians.

The Cassville High School counselors can be reached at 847-4015 or 847-3137. Middle school students and their parents can call 847-3136 for more information.
