Donna Stephens, 54, of Cassville, Missouri, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2008, in her home.
She was born August 13, 1953, in Monett, Missouri, the daughter of Billy Wayne and Dollie (Thomas) Schell. On February 18, 1972, she was united in marriage to James Stephens, who survives.
She is also survived by two daughters, Michelle Cummings and her husband, Andrew, of Jacksonville Beach, Florida, and Tara Goldberg and her husband, Adam, of Fountain Hills, Arizona; her mother, Dollie Schell, of Cassville; two brothers, Billy Gene Schell, of Mora, Minnesota, and Gary Wayne Schell, of Cassville; one sister, Ann Ennes and her husband, Bobby, of Cassville; and two grandchildren, Bazil Boo and Creighton James.
She was preceded in death by her father and grandparents.
Donna received her education at Washburn, where she graduated from high school. After high school she was manager for Monett Garment Factory and then worked for Taggart Pharmacy. She managed B-Discount for a while and for sixteen years she managed Schell Trailer Park. For ten and a half years she and James owned and operated 4-Way Restaurant. She worked for Bobby Ennes for two years. In her latter years she became a nutritionist. She was a member of First Baptist Church, Cassville and loved helping in the church, where she was head of the kitchen several years.
Donna was the most gracious, giving, loving person with a tremendous heart. She was a person who wasn't familiar with the word "no". Her tremendous character can easily be seen in her two beautiful daughters, as well as her granddaughter and grandson.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 22, 2008, in Cassville First Baptist Church under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Rev. James Weaver and Scott Stearns conducted the services. Burial was at Washburn Prairie Cemetery, Washburn, Missouri.
