Arthur Jack "A.J." Arnold, 77, of Golden, formerly of Lake Lotawana, passed away Sunday, July 13, 2008.
He was born June 11, 1931, in Kansas City, the son of Jack London and Helen (Lockhard) Arnold. On Dec. 17, 1960, in Miami, Okla., he was united in marriage to Margaret Lowe, who survives.
Additional survivors include: two sons, Arthur Jack Arnold, Jr., of Hot Springs, Ark., and Everett Jeffrey Arnold and his wife, Cindy, of Bates City; one brother, Russell Lockhard Arnold and his wife, Bonita, of Kansas City; and five grandchildren.
He received his education in Kansas City and graduated from East High School in 1949. He later attended the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan. He worked for Pacific Intermountain Express 17 years in Kansas City and Seattle, Wash. He worked in sales and operations for Manley Truck Line, Chief and Ideal. In 1989 he retired from North Supply Company in New Century, Kan.
He was a lifetime member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.
Graveside services were held today (Wednesday) in Viney Creek Cemetery, Golden, under direction of Fohn Funeral Home, Cassville. Bro. Augustin Truong conducted the services.
