CFPD responds to fire call at new CIS building

Thursday, June 26, 2008

Last Thursday, the Cassville Fire Protection District responded to a report of a possible fire at the Cassville Intermediate School, which was completed in March of this year. When firefighters arrived at the school at 3:15 p.m. they found smoke coming from a maintenance room where a breaker box had shorted out resulting in an explosion. When firefighters entered the maintenance room, they found that it was not on fire. Smoke ejector fans were used to ventilate the smoke from the building.
