Harold Lloyd Dean, of Pampa, Texas, formerly of Washburn, passed away June 8, 2008.
He was born Oct. 17, 1932, the son of Lloyd and Opal (Myers) Dean, Henry, Mahurin, of Garfield, Ark., who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and three stepbrothers.
Survivors include: a daughter, Linda Steaffacher and her husband, Steve; two sons, Larry Dean and Kenneth Dean, all of Texas; a sister, Cora Barnum, of Pampa, Texas; a half brother, Billy Ike Henry, of Cassville; a stepsister, Pearl Henry, of Washburn; grandchildren; and great grandchildren.
He was raised in the Washburn area. He joined the United States Army then lived in and around Pampa, Texas, working in the oil fields.
Graveside services with Military Honors, courtesy of U.S. Army, Ft. Hood, Texas, were held in Memory Garden Cemetery, Pampa, Texas. Services were conducted by Rev. Jim Sinyard.
